California CCW Modification Overview
This approximately 1-hour CCW modification qualification is required to add firearm(s) to an active CCW permit prior to its renewal date.

Students must:

Pass the shooting qualification course of fire as determined by your issuing agency for each firearm that will be added to the CCW permit.

What is the California CCW Modification Qualification?
This is the shooting qualification required to add firearms to your current CCW permit. Some agencies require you to shoot all firearms that will be on the permit going forward, even if they are already listed on your permit. Some agencies only require that you shoot the firearms you are adding. Be prepared to qualify with each firearm. This qualification is not required if you are changing or adding firearms during your CCW renewal course.
